Privacy Policy
Honeycomb is an early-stage language tutoring service operated by Jordan Moradian. This policy explains what the service collects and why.
Information we collect
We collect the phone number you provide for authentication and tutoring calls; profile details such as your name, language goals, interests, schedule, timezone, correction preferences, and consent choices; and technical security records needed to operate the service.
When you participate in tutoring calls, we may process call recordings, transcripts, summaries, learning observations, and session outcomes. The service tells you when recording is required and asks for consent before scheduling calls.
How we use information
- Authenticate your account and protect it from misuse.
- Schedule and provide personalized language tutoring.
- Remember learning context and prepare recaps or future sessions.
- Honor consent, opt-out, safety, and account-status choices.
- Debug, secure, and improve the private alpha.
SMS and phone communications
Authentication texts are sent only after you enter your number and request a code. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to block messages from the sending number or HELP for help. You can request another authentication code only through an explicit action in the app.
Optional recap or service texts are sent only when you opt in. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile opt-in information with third parties for their marketing.
Service providers
We use service providers to operate the product, including AWS for authentication and infrastructure, Twilio for phone calls or service messaging, OpenAI for tutoring and language processing, and our hosting and monitoring providers. They process data only to provide contracted services or meet legal obligations.
Retention, security, and your choices
We retain information only as long as needed for the service, security, legal, and operational purposes. We use access controls, encryption, and limited service roles, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
You can change communication consent in the product. To ask about, correct, export, or delete personal information, contact us at jordanmoradian+elara@gmail.com.
Children and policy changes
The private alpha is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
